Family friendly restaurants/outlets

My pepperoni pizza from Hugos
Because we don’t get to dine our way around the country quite as often as we would like to, this page is still under construction.
For that reason we are hoping to fill these pages with your ideas and suggestions of restaurants and cafes from anywhere in Australia that can cater happily to gluten free families and groups.
So please email us details of any pleasant dining out experiences. The eateries don’t have to be exclusively gluten free – just cater in nice ways like offering gluten free toast/pizzas or by making other thoughtful accomodations on their menu. Most importantly you and the kids will hopefully have enjoyed a nice family friendly dining experience!
(Or if you happen to own an outlet that caters for gluten-free customers then feel free to let us know.)
Because the cross contamination issues – this list cannot make any claims or guarentees about the gluten free standing of any particular menu or meal – but we do hope it will serve as a useful guideline for gluten-free families finding their way in a new neighbourhood or city. The Coeliac society maintains a list of restaurants that may be more useful for those with serious gluten allergies.
So please start emailing your suggestions to us at mail@glutenfreefamily.com.au, with a short description of the service, meal, variety, atmosphere, location etc so others can decide if it is right for them.
And iPhone owners can download an app that gives them a list of gluten free restaurants in any given location. (And please let us know if anyone mentioned on our list does not measure up to expectations too!)
NATIONAL RESTAURANT CHAINS: (None use a separate kitchen so there is likelihood of cross contamination)
